Introducing Specialty Coffee Football Talent Club (SCFTC) and Thika Football Talent Club (TFTC): Football for Talent, Education, and Social Impact Founded by Alfred Gitau Mwaura.

In Kenya, two visionary football initiatives are emerging with a bold mission to redefine the role of sport in society: Specialty Coffee Football Talent Club (SCFTC) and Thika Football Talent Club (TFTC).

Founded as social impact, not-for-profit football organizations, SCFTC and TFTC are committed to using football as a vehicle for youth empowerment, education, and sustainable community development.

Unlike traditional football clubs whose primary objective is competition and profit, SCFTC and TFTC have been established on a unique philosophy: develop talent, transform lives, and invest in the future of children.

Specialty Coffee Football Talent Club (SCFTC)

The club draws inspiration from the spirit of specialty coffee—quality, craftsmanship, consistency, and innovation—to develop footballers who excel not only in sport but also in life.

The club provides structured pathways for boys, girls, and young adults to access quality football training, mentorship, educational opportunities, and career development.

TFTC envisions becoming a premier talent development hub where local talent can progress from community football to national and international professional careers.

At the heart of TFTC is the conviction that football can serve as a catalyst for social change, peace, inclusion, and economic empowerment.

A Not-for-Profit Social Impact Model

One of the most distinctive features of SCFTC and TFTC is their commitment to social impact.

Both clubs operate strictly as not-for-profit organizations. Any surplus income generated through football academies, sponsorships, player transfers, merchandise, events, fundraising activities, coffee enterprises, and commercial partnerships is reinvested into the clubs' social mission.

A significant proportion of all revenues will be dedicated to supporting:
